Brief Summary:
Two practice overnight hikes back to back with an exit or entry point half way. Grade 4/5. Some steep climbs and many stairs. Approx 9 km per day. Available to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders. Accompanied by a Scouts NSW adventurous activity guide with wilderness first aid.
Additional Information

Short days due to winter

No road access to valley, participants need suitable fitness and health for extended steep climbs with many stairs.

All participants require a Scouts NSW membership number.

Comfortable with pack under load, able to pack and carry only essential items. 

Short option available, you can be picked up or dropped off at Pierces Pass carpark off Bells Line of Road if you have someone who can drive you to or from the carpark. Please add a comment to the event coordinator when you register if you are choosing one of the short options.

Thursday 6th Mount Victoria Station to Burra Korain campground via Victoria Falls trackhead Approx 9 km
Friday 7th Burra Korain campground to Pierces Pass carpark via Grose River Approx 8 km

We may access the Rigby Hill walking track while in the area.

For those continuing to Blackheath on the weekend hike. We will camp at Pierces Pass and continue the next morning.

Saturday 8th Pierces Pass to Acacia Flat campground via Blue Gum Forest Approx 8 km
Sunday 9th Acacia Flat campground to Blackheath Station via Perrys Lookdown and Hat Hill Road Approx 11 km

Drop pit toilets available at Victoria Falls Road and Pierces Pass. Bush toileting and hygiene for the most part. Burra Korain is a bush flat with no facilities. Shallow creek/river crossings. Rock steps when water is low. Water can be refilled from the river, recommended to apply treatment.
