Brief Summary:
Practice overnight hike. Grade 4/5. Some steep climbs and many stairs. Approx 8 km per day. Available to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders. Accompanied by a Scouts NSW adventurous activity guide with wilderness first aid.
Additional Information

Short days due to winter

No road access to valley, participants need suitable fitness and health for extended steep climbs with many stairs.

All participants require a Scouts NSW membership number.

Short options available, drop off/pick up at Victoria Falls trackhead carpark or Pierces Pass carpark if you have someone who can drive you to/from the carpark.

Saturday Pierces Pass to Acacia Flat campground via Blue Gum Forest Approx 8 km

Sunday Acacia Flat campground to Blackheath via Perrys Lookdown and Hat Hill Road Approx 11 km

Some steep climbs and many stairs.

Drop pit toilets available at Acacia Flat campground and Perrys Lookdown. Bush toileting and hygiene for the most part. 

Shallow creek/river crossings. Rock steps when water is low.

Acacia Flat is a bush flat with no facilities.

Water can be refilled from the river, recommended to apply treatment.
