Bendethra Caves Workshop

This activity is available only to participants who are over 14 years old.
 
It is highly recommended that you should camp at Berlang camp on Friday night.  We will strike camp in the morning and drive to the next site.  This is a four-wheel drive only track. You need a 4WD with low-range gear.  From Bendethra Valley Campsite, we will walk approximately 7km to the cave.  There are many creek crossings.  Best to wear your caving shoes and just get them wet. After exploring Bendethra cave, we will walk back and camp for the night.
 
Sunday is for packing up and driving home.

You need to bring your own water and firewood if you want it.  Please bring all your food and fuel, there are no shops. Make sure you have some warm clothes with you.
 
 
We plan to camp Friday night for the early start. Camping again on Saturday night is necessary because of fatigue management, and to access the 4WD track in daylight. Although the activity finishes at Bendethra campsite, we plan to make a convoy out of the valley.
 
Region will provide helmets. Please bring your own caving light - preferrably a head torch, plus one spare torch.
