12/06/2026 - Hills District Venturers Vivid Night

Hills District Venturer Units are combining this Friday night to travel into the city to see the lights of VIVID.

We will travel by train leaving from and returning to Hills Showground Metro, Castle Hill.  

Transport:

Meet at Hills Showground Metro at 5:30pm.  

We will be returning to Hills Showground Metro at approx 10pm, youth will message parents when leaving the City.  

Plan:

We will travel as a group on the train into the City.  We will get off the train at Barrangaroo Metro Station.  

In small groups the Venturers will explore the lights of Vivid around Circular Quay, the Rocks and Barrangaroo without the direct supervision of Leaders.  Venturers will need to be back at Barangaroo Metro by 9:15pm.

At the end of the night we travel from Barangaroo Metro Station to Hills Showground Metro Station arriving approx 10pm.

Please bring your OPAL card.

Food and Drinks:

Bring a drink bottle and snacks. Venturers may want to go to McDonalds for dinner at Circular Quay.

Wet Weather:

Barring severe weather, this event will run in the rain. Bring a rain-coat! 

The event will be cancelled in the event of severe weather. Cancellation will be advised by Venturer Leaders.

Requirements:

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Uniform is NOT required.
