Join the GWS Master Sailors for two weekends of fun packed adventure at Lake Chipping Norton learning how to sail a small boat.

At the conclusion of this workshop you should have the skills to rig and sail a small boat, self rescue, assist with a rescue, Learn and understand navigation aids on waterways and develop a skill tht you can share with friends and family.

This is a basic sailing course.  You will need to bring, your food for the day, sunscreen, a water bottle, your towel, a spray jacket or jump to wear if the weather is bad, suitable water shoes that are not Crocs (old volleys or joggers will do at a pinch) and arrive wearing your uniform.  Your workshop leader is Keith Travers.

You will need to bring a notebook, the course workbook and a pen, pencil and rubber.  Participants would be advised to read through the workbook and do some online research prior to attending. You are welcome to complete parts of the workbook from your research as this will assist on the workshop. Write your answers in pencil in case you are not correct. If you have done any sailing before, please bring a log book with you that notes the date, the location, the type of boat sailed, whether you were the captain or the crew, how long you sailed for that day and the name of a witness who can verify your attendance that day.  The workbook is attached to this event for you to download and print out.

Be kind to yourself - DONT FORGET TO BRING YOUR LOG BOOK AND WORK BOOK EACH DAY!

Participants are required to meet at ANGLE PARK boat ramp at 9am. Please be punctual.  The workshop will end at 3pm sharp.  WORKSHOP DAYS ARE 13-14 Feberuary and the 27-28 February.  The workshop runs for 4 days.
