Brief Summary:
Given this increasing growth in Neurodiverse scouts, your diversity and Inclusion team has developed a training program to assist you and the parents to assist Scout leaders in the units to enable them to support youth members that are neuro divergent across a range of conditions of a genetic, congenital or acquired nature amongst our youth. We also have a range of guides and plans to support them in the long and short term, unit capacity questions and parent /carer questions that will assist you in the onboarding of youth with neurodiversity. In Australia, it is estimated that 15- 20% of children and teenagers in the education system are neurodivergent. This includes conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Specifically, around 3-4% of children are estimated to have ASD, while 4-11% have ADHD This is a short blurb for the additional needs train trim as necessary
