Scouts from Units across Parramatta District are hiking the Great North Walk.

Description:
The Scouts will be participating in Clean Up Australia Day by picking up rubbish whilst undertaking a day hike along Darling Mills Creek from 1st Murray Farm Scout Hall, Carlingford to Loyalty Road, North Rocks.
Leaders will message parents to notify if earlier pick-up time.
The hike is approximately 5.5km walking distance and suitable for beginner level hikers with good fitness.

This activity will contribute 4 hours effort to the Environment Special Interest Area (SIA). Scouts are required to undertake a minimum of 8 hours to complete the requirements of the SIA.

- Hat (full brim recommended)
- comfortable shorts/pants
- comfortable shoes suitable for hiking

Small day pack containing:
- drink bottle (minimum 2L)
- lunch and snacks
