Hunter Valley District - Dingo Shield 2026

Welcome to the Dingo Shield, Hunter Valley District extends a warm invitation to all Hunter Valley Venturer units to join us for a try-shooting experience at the Singleton Clay Target Club on 29/03/2026

Fees: Shooter: $40 per person 
Please note that Venturers and accompanying parents should have the following: 
One parent/legal guardian per venturer 
Eye Protection: Eye protection is mandatory while on the firing line. Prescription eye wear and sunglasses are acceptable. 
 
A limited amount of safety glasses will be available for those who dont have any. 
 
Ear Protection: Ear protection is essential at all times on the firing line. 1 pair of earplugs will be provided on the day, but you can bring your own protection if you have any. 
 
Footwear: All individuals on the range property must wear enclosed shoes or boots at all times. 
 
For the P650 declaration, we require: 
For minors: Identification showing the date of birth, such as a school ID card or birth certificate. 
 
The P650 form must be signed by the parent or legal guardian, who is the full-time caregiver for the child. It cannot be signed by an older sibling, uncle, aunt, or any other relative unless they are the child's full-time caregiver. The P650 serves as a statutory declaration. Proof of guardianship may be required on the day. 
 
For adults: Acceptable photo identification is a photo ID issued by a government agency or public authority. Driver's license, passport, etc. which lists name, date of birth and address details. A business or club ID is not acceptable. 
 
If we have a sufficient number of range officers present on the day (and time), we would be delighted to offer parents the opportunity to participate in shooting activities as well, requiring a separate P650 for them. 
Please be aware, this is an active shooting range. We will be using real firearms and live ammunition. Please ensure all attendees have been adequately vetted and will follow instructions on the day to ensure a fun and safe experience, with future visits in mind.

If you do not have the form, your identification (with your date of birth on it) and a parent/guardian, you will not be allowed to participate.
