Brief Summary:
Canterburyvale District Founders Day Picnic and Water Activities Community event to meet other groups, introduce youth to water activities (covers some elements of OAS stages 1-3)
Additional Information

A day for Canterbury Vale District (Enfield, Burwood & Canterbury) to get together, celebrate Founders Day and try out some fun water activities. Conditions permitting we'll have canoeing, raft building and maybe even some sailing, as well as fun and games on land. A BBQ lunch will be provided.

Joeys – Parent/Guardian required:

All Joeys must have a parent or guardian attend and stay with them for the event.
Because we’ll be doing water activities, parents/guardians should come prepared with water gear and be ready to get in the boat with their Joey where needed.

A packing list is attached. 

What to bring 
  • Hat 
  • Sunscreen 
  • Sunglasses 
  • Water shoes or old sneakers (must be enclosed — no Crocs or sandals) 
  • Swimmers / clothes that can get wet (long sleeves strongly recommended) 
  • Rain jacket (you may get cold once wet, even if it’s not raining) 
  • Plastic bag for wet clothes 
  • Dry change of clothes  
  • Jumper 
  • Towel 
  • Dry shoes 
  • Water bottle 
  • Personal first aid kit  
  • Picnic blanket (if you have one) 
  • PFD (if you have one, must meet current NSW standards - level 50 or above)
