Brief Summary:
We are looking for both Mentors and future Guides to participate in the 2026 Guide development program. This is an Expression of Interest only and as such has no event attached to this registration process
Additional Information

This program will run over one year and consist of a number of distinct phases.

  1. Complete this EOI.
  2. Attend a face to face information day with all of the 2026 candidates and mentors
  3. Over a two month period, complete the first phase of the training "Guiding Adventure". Here you will learn Leadership and people skills
  4. Team up with a project patrol for your practical in the field skills and training. You will be given personal mentors to help you through this phase.
  5. Lead a number of Adventerous activities under the supervision of your mentors. During this phase you will be shown how to manage groups and some of the technical skills to leading novices in your selected activity field
  6. Run an additional number of Adventerous activities while under the program in order to hone your skills and contribute to scouting in general.
