Parramatta District Scouts Core OAS Skills Camp

Objective:

Provide opportunities for Scouts to:

• learn new skills from experienced Scouts and Leaders,
• obtain review/sign-off of the core OAS skills, namely Camping, Bushwalking and Bushcraft, and
• obtain review/sign-off of Paddling (Canoeing) OAS skills

Description:

The Parramatta District Core OAS Skills Camp will be run at Scheyville National Park.
Due to booking restriction from National Parks the camp will be limited to a maximum of 32 Scouts. 

Program:

The program will cover the following core OAS stages:

• Camping levels 1, 2 & 3
• Bushcraft levels 1, 2 & 3
• Bushwalking levels 1, 2 & 3 (excluding the 6 hour hike requirement)

Additionally, the Region Activities Leader for Paddling will run activities on the Sunday covering:

• Paddling levels 1, 2 & 3
• Canoeing level 4

Camping:

Scouts will be camping in a single Unit with Patrols rostered to prepare meals.

Cost:

The cost of $100 covers the camping fees and food for meals from Saturday lunch to Tuesday breakfast (inclusive).
