Well here we are...only a month away from what will be a fantastic weekend, where female (18+) Rovers and Leaders will have the chance to get together for a full weekend of camping and abseiling at Noorumba Girl Guide Camp near Woronora on Saturday 28th Feb to Sunday 1st March. Whilst the focus of the weekend will be to support those that would like to try abseiling, learn new abseiling skills, or work on getting evidence towards abseiling qualifications, skill or qualification level is not a prerequisite to attending. This is an open weekend for any female Rover or Leader to just give something a try or just a desire to come and hang out with us for the weekend! The cost of the weekend includes overnight camping on Saturday night and access to all abseiling equipment you might need to use. You will be required to provide your own meals, food and cooking equipment. Water is available on the site, as is access to toilets. We will have a fire on the Saturday night if permitted. Please note that access to the site is via a 15-minute walk along a fire trail. It is advisable to travel light or use a trusty wagon or a husky pulling sled to be able to get your gear to camp. Please contact us if you feel you might need a bit more help getting your gear to camp and we can see if help can be arranged. We will be starting at 9am on the Saturday morning and aim to be finished with the abseil section by noon on Sunday, with a hasty pack up and walk out to Woronora for lunch and debrief at the Woronora RSL before we all depart our separate ways.
