Brief Summary:
Joey scouts will receive instruction in paddling and participate in a 1-hour canoeing activity, Joeys will be able to
be signed off on most of the OAS Paddling Stage 1 skills. If time allows, joeys will be assessed on the remaining I-statements relating to swimming (Aquatics stage 1).
There will be 3 sessions on the day, with a maximum of 24 joeys on each. Please register/book for only 1 session & make sure you are booking the correct session time (we cannot transfer you to another session if incorrect)
An adult will be needed to accompany 2 joeys in each canoe (register as leader/adult helper).

Wear: Clothes to get wet
Closed shoes (no crocs or thongs) to get wet: adults included
Hat
Sunscreen
Insect repellent
Bring: Water bottle, Towel, dry clothes & shoes for after canoeing,
Snack (if wanted)
Joeys are encouraged to arrive 15-30 minutes before the scheduled session to ensure paddling time is maximised
