JOTA / JOTI - Jamboree on the Air / Internet

This event listing is a pace holder for the bookings to be made directly with Michael turner (michael.turner@nsw.scouts.com.au)

For the Groups we suggest book in for up to a 2 Hour time slot in order to have enough time to take part in all the Activities provided. 

 If the group is small we may book in 2 or more small groups into the same time slot. 

If it is a large group we divide the group between the 3 to 4 Activity areas: 

 + Possible Radio Fox Hunt Activity 

+ Radios - talking to and Listening to other Scout and Guide JOTA Stations 

+ Internet Chatting around the world - Joti 

+ Filling in the Pre Talk sheet ( good for the young ones  who get stuck with what questions to ask ) and doing Morse Code and using Phonetics 

+ Online Zoom meeting with Scout and Guide groups from NSW Australia and Overseas. 

We cycle the Groups through the different activity bases situated mostly in the main Scout hall. 

Michael handles the bookings and personally Email all the groups that have participated before with us  

  and chat to the Leaders to to find out: 

+ Estimated group numbers and age range of the group attending 

+ discuss with the Leaders about putting small groups together in the same time slot  

+ ask if they will be purchasing Jota/Joti badges so I have an idea of how many badges to order.
