Joey's & Cubs will be exploring the night life around the top dam especially the yabbies in the dam, we will be catching and releasing the yabbies using bait tied to a lenght of string. Good walking shoes, a raincoat, water bottle and reliable torch are a necessity.
If it rains the day before or morning of, gum boots are great as the grounds can be very muddy. If raining after midday the Activity Coordinator will advise you via text message.
Cubs may bring a small snack if required. These must be in a backpack. Roll-on insect repellent is recommended.
Hand sanitizer and antiseptic wipes will be provided.
Bait and string will be provided. Some nets will be provided, if you bring your own net please make sure its a micro mesh bag.
Uniform is not necessary on this event. Jumpers, beanies and warm clothing are recommended. Mangrove Road runs off Narara Valley Drive, Narara at the Medical Centre. It curves up and continues on the second street on the left. Continue up the hill. If you get to the freeway you have gone too far. There will be someone with a orange hi vis vest on to check in and take attendance and provide you with the bait and string.
