Brief Summary:
Venturers will have a chance to learn and practice their Abseiling Skills at on the of Local Cliffs. The Activity will be run under the supervision of Qualified Scouts NSW Abseiling Guides
Additional Information

THE ACTIVITY - This is a one Night activity to learn new skills build on existing skills.

PRE- REQUISITES - Nil

LEADERS - This activity will be conducted under the leadership of qualified activity guides and leaders.

SITE - The activity is in a bush setting with no facilities provided at cliff face. Each applicant is to provide their own personal gear and will require to understand the issues around toileting in a bush setting. It is a short 10 minute walk to the cliff face. You will be required to assist in carrying gear.

CLOTHING / EQUIPMENT - This activity will be conducted on and around cliffs and suitable clothing and footwear are required.

All applicants will need access to a suitable rock activity helmet, a harness, if possible. The Region does have harness available for those who don't. Once issued they are not to be shared, sturdy footwear, a shirt that will tuck into their shorts/trousers.

Those with long hair will need to have it tied back or wear a hair net.

RECOGNITION - all participants should be readily identifiable as Scouts for the duration of the activity - scarf / camp shirt etc
