*** WHAT TO BRING
Wear exercise gear and a sun hat, plus consider a change of clothing for afterwards. Please bring your own water and snacks.
Waterproof maps will be provided as part of the cost, as well as an electronic stick (SportIdent stick) for each runner to register their visit at each checkpoint site.
*** EVENT FORMAT
- This is a "Score" course, like a treasure hunt - you choose your own route and adventure.
- Start any time you like between 2 - 3.30pm, the course will close at 4.30pm at which point the flags and checkpoints will start to be collected.
- There will be 30 checkpoints on the course, each marked with a 30cm flag and electronic punching unit.
- Visit as many checkpoints as you can in 45 minutes, maximum score of 600 points, 10 point penalty for every minute late.
- Checkpoints are worth 10, 20 or 30 points. Numbers 1-10 are 10 points, 11-20 worth 20 points, 21-30 worth 30 points.
- The full course (maximum 600 points) will be achievable be above-average runners within the 45 minutes.
*** COST
The event fees contribute to the cost of equipment and the running of the governing bodies (ONSW & OA).
Scouts: $14 Adult, $12 Junior (13-20), $8 Sub Junior (0-12). This is to be paid on the Orienterring NSW Event Site.
