Brief Summary:
This is a fun day for Joeys to experience a range of activities including low ropes and crate stacking. bush walking, compass work, bush craft including damper cooking. The day will enable the Joeys to achieve goals towards stages in various Outdoor Adventure Skills. Participants will be rotating around the three activities in separate groups. They will be doing each activity for an hour or so them moving on to next with a short break in between. Everyone will lunch together at same time. Activities will start at 9:00am so please ensure you arrive earlier.
Additional Information

The event will be held at Poms Camp, Brothers Rd Jilliby, off Little Jilliby Rd. 

Poms Camp is a bush camp with limited facilities. It is run by the H&C Region Scouts.

  • There is a bush camp toilet (Forestry Commission type).
  • There is no running water at this camp. You will need to bring your own drinking water for the day.

Parking will be on the road or possibly on the lower part of the camp if there has been no preceeding rain.

The cost will include lunch which will consist of a sausage sandwich, a drink and buscuits or a packet chips. If you have any special dietary needs please contact the activity co-ordinator prior to closing date.

Leaders, Parents and Adult helpers can assist their members/children.

Participants should bring a small backpack with:

  • Note book/log book and pen/pencil
  • Sunscreen
  • raincoat, jumper,
  • drinking water
  • some snack bars.

Participants need to have a hat and apply sunscreen.

We anticipate the activity will conclude at around 2:00pm. No camping, single day event.
