This Afternoon has been organized to enable Leaders and Rovers to enhance their skills and work towards the qualification of Safe and Trained Participant, allowing them to lead safe cycling and mountain biking activities for youth.
The program will include mountain biking at Kamilaroi Scout Camp and Inverell MTB Park on trails ranging from green to blue. To ensure they can fully participate, attendees must be physically prepared to ride distances exceeding 20 kilometers over the weekend.
Please note that this is a self-catered event. Participants are required to bring their own food and water.
As the activities at Lake Kamilaroi and Inverell MTB Park include off-road, single-track trails, attendees must bring a mountain bike (with gears) that has been serviced to handle fire trails and off-road conditions. The bike's tyres should be durable enough to navigate this terrain effectively. (Bring attached documents with you on the day)
Participants should also bring the following items to prepare for the equivalent of a day hike with a pack, as well as specific items required for mountain biking:
