Brief Summary:
Future Scout Day is a fun and immersive experience for 10-year-old Cubs to join a Scout Unit for the day and take part in Region Scout Camp. They’ll participate in patrol-based activities alongside Scouts, including group and district-led bases and adventurous challenges like ninja line, crate stacking, abseiling, flying fox, and a water obstacle course at Camp Coutts.
Additional Information

Future Scout Day is an exciting opportunity for 10-year-old Cubs to step into the world of Scouting and experience a full day at Region Scout Camp. Designed to immerse soon-to-be linking Cubs in the Scout program, the day offers the chance to join a Scout Unit patrol and take part in activities traditionally catered to the older sections. Cubs will participate with the Scouts in activity bases run by the groups and districts, as well as adventurous activities such as ninja line, crate stacking, abseiling, flying fox, and a water obstacle course across the Camp Coutts pond.

Future Scouts will be integrated into their own Unit or a local one if their Unit is not attending, and will remain with that patrol for the duration of the day. Catering will be provided by the Scout Unit for morning tea and lunch. All Cubs will check in at Waterfall Station carpark in the morning, where they will receive their wristband and passport before being bussed into the camp as one group. In the afternoon, they will return the same way, with all Future Scouts departing together by bus.

Attendance is required for the full day from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to ensure a complete and immersive Scout experience.

FEELING SAFE AT REGION SCOUT CAMP

Everyone in Scouts, youth and adults alike have the right to feel safe and be protected from abuse. No one is allowed to threaten you, hurt you or touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or afraid.

A Scout is respectful, and this applies to all interactions between all participants, youth and adults, at Region Scout Camp.

You do not have to deal with abuse on your own. If you feel unsafe, threatened or you see/hear something that causes you concern, please speak to a Leader or Rover on an activity. Your concerns will be taken seriously. The information you provide will be shared with people who can support and protect you.

If you do not know what to do - talk to someone at Region Scout Camp Team!

If, for any reason, you do not feel the concerns of this nature that you raised at Region Scout Camp have been satisfactorily dealt with, please report your concerns directly to the Child Protection Team at the NSW State Office on 02 9735 9060 or via YouthProtection@nsw.scouts.com.au or your parents.
